To Remain Faithful
In our society of charity and welfare, which are good things, some of us have come to think because I am in need, someone MUST give me what I need. I have a right to be taken care of. I worry about this, not because I don’t do charity work, or contribute to the welfare of people around me, but the attitude has seeped into our whole way of living. As a Christian I deserve the best in life. When challenged, the person will say, things are not really what I meant …. but….

We believe in things so small we can’t see, wonderful, exciting scientific speculation, act as if they are proven facts. That’s just a symptom of our ability to believe and desire to believe. But, what do you believe in?

Fragments of Truth
Fragmentation is a growing concern in our world. It’s not new. It sometimes seems to me we’re not capable of accepting the whole truth all the time. It’s just too overwhelming. To know the whole truth is a lifetime quest both secular and spiritual.

Stunted Growth
Growing up is hard sometimes, and sometimes it’s more fun not to have to grow up…. how’s that for grammar? What about spiritual growth? Some people have been people of faith for a year, and are three years old in maturity. And some people have been in the faith for ten years, but have just repeated their first year experiences for ten years. They react to everthing as a child believer (good and bad) and never grow in their faith.
