The first of the year always sets me to considering if I need to put thing into a new (I hope) perspectives. It is not just an exercise experts tell us we need to do. Sometimes it has changed my emotional health as well changed the things I put my energies into.

LIVING LIFE BACKWARDS?
We speak of facing the future bravely, with trust, and sometimes uncertainly. But here’s a new Idea to me. In reality we face the past, seeking an understanding of the past so we can face the future. So we are really facing the past and taking steps, backwards, into the future. think about that image a bit …. we hold God’s hand and tentatively step backwards….

Sometimes the study of the Old Testament prophets as related to Christmas gets a little slow when held up to the excitement of the New Testament account of the angels and manger and mysterious men from the East. I CONFESS I LOVE MY LIFE

God Is Not MY God (Alone)
Not long ago, we attended a service completely unlike what I’m used to, yet undeniably full of God’s presence. I love it when that happens. I was reminded of the scope of God’s work while remaining the intense personal God we serve.
